Apple iPhone 8: Rumors, Specs, Release Date

It has just been over a month since the launched of Apple's iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. Today, expectations for the next generation iPhone 8 have already started.

According to TechTimes, here are some features that you might want to see when Apple iPhone 8 started to be seen on 2017.

Design

Apple has stuck to the same design for its iPhone in the past three years. iPhone users are expecting the iPhone 8 to promote a new design altogether. Apple is expected to shrink the overall size by reducing the size of the bezels; however, the screen size is estimated to be the same.It is also being repeatedly reported that Apple will depart from the metal casing that has been prominent in recent releases, instead favoring a glass-based design.

Display

Current-generation iPhones have the IPS LCD display. However, rumors point out that Apple may switch to OLED technology display in the iPhone 8. With OLED screen, Apple will be able to trim down the bezels by putting the Touch ID on the screen itself.

Camera

The iPhone 6 has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera (f/2.2 lens), and iPhone 6s a 12-megapixel primary cam (f/2.2 lens). But Apple is constantly upgrading its camera. Hence, the iPhone 7 is now equipped with a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera with an aperture of f/1.8 lens.

Customers are expecting Apple to improve iPhone 8's camera even further and introduce new camera capabilities to the handset.

Currently, the dual-camera setup is available only on the iPhone 7 Plus. Fans want the dual-lens setup to be available on the smaller iPhone 8 as well.

Battery Life

Battery life has become very critical in new mobile phones. Watching videos and listening to music for hours have become normal for smartphone owners to do so they consume a lot of power.

Apple claims that the iPhone 7 offers up to 2 hours longer battery life than the iPhone 6s. Customers want more and are expecting Apple to blow them away with more battery life before looking for the charging cable.

New colors

When the next generation iPhone 8 ships, two new colors will apparently be included in its portfolio. A new blue option will be among these, and a glossier version of the existing gray, possibly referred to as space black, is also predicted.
