"One Direction" has been known as one of the most famous boy bands in this generation and the friendship among the five members has always been looked up to by the youth. However, early last year, one of its members Zayn Malik announced that he will be leaving the group due to stress and pursuing personal interests. Thus, after being absent in quite a number of concerts, he finally announced his exit.

Not long after, Zayn went on a solo career and released his first single. There was no bad blood between him and the rest of the members of the group. "One Direction" then released another album, now without Zayn anymore; which was entitled "Made in the A.M." After the album was released, the group announced an indefinite hiatus to pursue personal interests as well. Thus, recently, Zayn opened up about what he had gone through before quitting the band.

According to the British singer, he would go days without eating anything at all. He noticed, looking back, how much he had lost weight during that time. According to him, it was not that he had concerns about his weight, everything just piled up back then that he could not control it: the stress, the pressure, the crazy schedule and more. Thus, he believes that his food intake was the only thing he could control at the time, and so he did.

He admitted that he was never diagnosed with such disorder while going through with it. Although after having surpassed that challenge, he finally recognized what it was. Now, Zayn admits that he is feeling much better about himself and doing a lot better with his life as well.
