Pokemon GO Update: 6th Nest Migration Increases Biodiversity; Which Pokémon Are Confirmed

Niantic has finally pushed the sixth nest migration on Pokémon GO on Wednesday, Nov. 3. The good news is that the nest migration has been confirmed happening with an increase in biodiversity, which includes those that used to be rare species.

Following a month of anticipation, the sixth next migration of Pokémon GO has just happened and there's a catch that comes along with it. According to a Reddit thread by The Silph Road titled "Global Nest Migration #6!", this migration has brought an increase of biodiversity. The said movement included species that are used to be rare, including Fire/Rock types like Paras and Poliwag.

Pokémon GO 6th Migration - Paras

Paras is a Bug/Grass Type Pokémon. It has tochukaso, parasitic mushrooms, on its rear part. These bugs make them grow. Paras is a high values species for medicinal purposes. For base stats, it has 70 stamina, 122 attack, 120 defense, 11.7 CP gain and 916 max CP. Its fast moves are bite and scratch, while its charge moves are cross poison and seed bomb.

In terms of offensive as Bug, Paras is more effective against Dark, Grass and Psychic type species, while as Grass, it is more effective against Ground, Rock and Water species. In terms of defensive as Bug, Paras is more effective against Fighting, Grass and Ground types, while as Grass, it is more effective against Electric, Grass, Ground and Water types.

Pokémon GO 6th Migration - Poliwag

On the other hand, Poliwag has also been confirmed sprouting in the new nest. Poliwag is a Water type Pokémon, which evolves into Poliwhirl. Despite it being thin-skinned, this characteristic makes it resilient against species with sharp fangs. For base stats, it has 80 stamina, 108 attack, 98 defense, 10.1 CP gain and 795 max CP. Its fast moves are bubble and mud slot, while its charge moves are body slam, bubble beam and mud bomb.

With regard to offensive, Poliwag is more effective against Fire, Ground and Rock type species. In terms of defensive, Poliwag is very effective against Fire, Ice, Steel and Water types.

In the meantime, the Redditor encouraged trainers to continue scouting for new terrains where these Pokémon can be farmed, with caution though to report only those that are confirmed.
