‘Dragon Ball Super’ Latest Update: Toei Animation Teases Big Surprise Coming Up; Is It The Next Story Arc?

Toei Animation has a new "Dragon Ball Super" announcement made on Twitter on Friday, Nov. 4 which is coming up very soon. No exact details have been confirmed but the Japanese developer confirmed it is "a big surprise" that is coming.

"Dragon Ball Super's" Big Surprise

"Dragon Ball Super" is officially bound for a new exciting disclosure soon as Toei Animation announced on Twitter. The official account of the developer tweeted: "We have a big surprise coming! Stay tuned! #DragonBallSuper #DBS." Despite the developer releasing no exact details, it seems like DBS fans are in for a good treat anytime soon.

Hint #1: Universe 7 Vs. Universe 6

Along with the delightful announcement was a photo of "Dragon Ball Super" showing what seemed to be a game face battle between Universe 7 and Universe 6. Although it might be just mere photo in general, it could also be the hint to the forthcoming arc. So far, the Goku Black/Future trunks arc has been running for more than five months.

What are the chances that the current story arc is wrapping up anytime soon? The possibilities are endless. It can be noted from a report of Attack of the Fanboy that a new competitive play will take place involving the Universe, and from the looks of it, Universe 7 and Universe 6 are the closest contender. Even so, this remains a speculation as there is no official confirmation from the developer yet. Hence, this information has to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Hint #2: FUNimation English Dub

On the other hand, there have also been reports that Toei Animation could be unveiling very soon the FUNimation English dub of "Dragon Ball Super." FUNimation is an American entertainment company that distributes anime and other foreign entertainment properties. FUNimation already had work history with Toei Animation for "Dragon Ball Z" and the "Digimon" series. The latest title FUNimation will be dubbing is the television franchise of "Drifters."
