Why The Shield Needs To Reunite At Survivor Series

When you think about the greatest wrestling factions in history, automatically you think of the The Four Horsemen, New World Order(NWO), Degeneration X and Evolution. However, there's one more team that should be considered on that elite group - The Shield.

Evolution Of The Shield

One of the most beloved stable in WWE regardless if they were heel or face, the Shield is composed of three great young talents namely, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. They has their debut last 2012 and made an immediate impact when they interfered and power bombed Ryback through the announcers table. The main goal of the group is to inflict pain to people whom they consider as a perpetrator of injustice.

The Hounds of Justice literally didn't care if they face the biggest and strongest athlete in the roster or if they face the power couple in Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They had one of the longest winning streaks from 2012-2013. They faced notable opponents like CM Punk, John Cena, Big Show, and who could forget their famous battle with Evolution's Triple H, Randy Orton and the returning Batista.

Seth Rollins Betrayal

During the episode of Raw, The Shield and Evolution cross paths again leading to a beat down to the two remaining members of Evolution. It was evident that the two of the most decorated superstars cannot withstand the attack of The Hounds of Justice. However, in a stunning turnaround of events, Seth Rollins hit Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose with a steel chair. Apparently, Triple H made a deal already with the Architect.

Individual Careers And Championships

All of the three members of The Shield held the World Heavyweight Championship at least once in they're career. Seth Rollins however was arguably the most successful in the group due to its connection with the Authority. He even held the World Heavyweight title and U.S. Title at the same time. Roman Reigns has been the target of Authority ever since he started his solo act. There are countless times when he reached the top but crumbled down because of Triple H and Vince McMahon. As for Dean Ambrose, he held the Intercontinental Championship and Heavyweight title too.

Finally, after years and months of buildup, the three former brothers met at WWE's pay per view, Battleground. Dean Ambrose looks to defend his title against his former teammates. Seth Rollins seem to dictate the pace with his aerial attacks and striking accuracy. Dean Ambrose on the other hand was still lunatic and used every inch of his body to inflict pain to his adversaries. Roman Reigns took most of the attack as he was the powerhouse amongst the three. He was powerbomb through the table and was hit with each of the superstars' finishers and the dirty deeds finally got him; which led to Dean Ambrose retaining the title.

Fast Forward To The New Era

Seth Rollins was the man until he was betrayed by his friend, Triple H. The Authority leader and the COO made it clear that he is tired of Rollins not finishing the job. Triple H and Seth Rollins has an ongoing feud that might lead to a Wrestlemania match next year. Although there was already a brand split, the three members of the Shield haven't settle the score yet with the Authority. They now have a common target and it would be nice to see the three reunite at this year's Survivor Series.
