'Quantico' Season 2 News And Updates: Showrunner Josh Safran Talks About Leigh's Bloody Exit; More Spoilers Revealed

The American drama thriller "Quantico" season 2 is starting to gain its momentum. Recently, the show's producers talked about a bloody scene and dropped some bombs of thrilling information about the upcoming episodes. "Quantico" showrunner Josh Safran in particular talked about the developments to look out for in the coming episodes of "Quantico" season 2.

In "Quantico" season 2, episode 6, viewers were shocked to see Leigh (Helene Yorke) end up with a bloody death after being interrogated by the terrorists. Nimah (Yasmine al Massri) is on the twin con game again to earn trust and information from CIA recruits. Lydia (Tracy Ifeachor) flees with the hard drives while Alex (Priyanka Chopra) is still bound and trapped.

When asked about Leigh's gruesome death, Safran shared that the collars that killed her were proof that they were real and the terrorists mean business. With Yorke in a complete blood bath, the set was still on a good vibe and the set remained fun for the actors. However, it is still sad news for those who got hooked with Leigh's role as she was only seen in the show for four episodes.

"I know it's really gory and terrifying, but the only images in my brain are of Heléne dancing around in a puddle of her own blood and having the best time in the world. She was very excited. The gorier she could have gone out, the better for her, so I think we all just took our cues from here," Safron stated.

As for Lydia, the only definite thing is that she does not want the hard drives to land on the terrorists hands. It can also be seen that she even pulls out an alarm before leaving Alex to make sure she is found by the terrorists. The next episode is noted to be a tour de force for Blaire Underwood. As per reports, this deals with serious CIA processes that recruits have to undergo.

"Quantico" fans should stay updated for the upcoming episodes that were tagged "uncomfortable" to watch. "Quantico" season 2 airs on ABC every Sunday at 10 P.M. ET.
