Call Of Duty Upcoming Game Rumor, Latest Update: What We Know About Lethal Combat

Call of Duty will have an upcoming game for 2017 and the rumored title is Lethal Combat. The game title was ironically leaked during the game voice actors' strike which is still ongoing right now.

Next Call of Duty Installment

The next Call of Duty will come from Sledgehammer Games but there was some confusion with regards to the title of the upcoming COD installment. The developer referred to it as Call of Duty: Stronghold but industry observers believed that it's simply a working title. It will likely have a final name called Call of Duty: Lethal Combat.

Possible Storyline For COD: Lethal Combat

There are speculations that the next Call of Duty installment will leave space and come back to Earth. It seems Activision will return to historical conflict again in view of the current success of Battlefield 1 which focused on World War 1 conflicts. This time, COD: Lethal Combat is rumored to be based on the US involvement in Vietnam. It is also possible that the gameplay is in the third person perspective.

There are also rumors that a female main character will be included in the upcoming game. This move is certainly laudable and could entice female players to play the upcoming COD installment. The only problem is if the next COD is really set in Vietnam, it would be quite difficult to make it a believable story. The US only allowed women in combat duty three years ago.

If female playable characters are included in the upcoming COD: Lethal Combat then it's possible that the game is not based on the US-Vietnam conflict but on another entirely different one. The current Call of Duty installment, Infinite Warfare is currently not doing well based on sales report. Activision is hoping that the next one will do better. COD: Lethal Combat is reportedly under development and has a tentative launch date on November 2017.
