Pokémon GO reportedly received new CP-related updates to appease its fanbase. The changes are reportedly aimed at a more balanced and competitive battle and training experience in Gyms. Moreover, Niantic is also slated to celebrate a special Thanksgiving event with more XP and Stardust.
Previously, Pokémon GO gamers reportedly noted miscalculated CPs and the low effectivity of certain Pokémon. Apparently, these setbacks allegedly resulted in numerous useless Pokémon including fan favorites from the original games. On that note, the game developer Niantic recently rolled out a huge update in response.
The Combat Power (CP) in Pokémon GO has reportedly been raised with the huge balance update. Niantic recently announced that several Pokémon creatures such as Snorlax, Vaporeon, Alakazam, Gengar, Jolteon, Tauros and Rhydon will have their CP increased. On the contrary, other Pokémon creatures like Arcanine, Blastoise and Venusaur, among others are said to have their CP lowered.
Niantic further noted that the changes in Pokémon GO are meant to allow more balance and fair competition in the Gyms. Furthermore, it is expected that the developers would continue to adjust the Combat Power of the other Pokémon creatures to improve the game balance when necessary. The changes are also expected to increase the variety of Pokémon found in gyms.
In other news, Pokémon GO is set on holding a Special Thanksgiving XP Event for their fans. Apparently, the Halloween special event was successful in boosting the interest of gamers. Moreover, the game has reportedly skyrocketed back to the top of the Highest Grossing charts.
Pokémon GO will reportedly hold a more low-key Thanksgiving event as Niantic celebrates the game's success since launching in July. Niantic announced that from Nov. 23 00:00 UTC until Nov. 30 00:00 UTC, the developers will double the amount of XP and Stardust the fans will receive after completing in-game actions.
