Now the tricky part of catching Mareanie is learning how to find one - and it's a bit complicated than most of you have thought. First thing to note is that, we're going to find the Pokémon which will call out Mareanie and that is Corsola. Now, in order to find Corsola, we need to go to a fishing spot (e.g. Beachfront) that has a bubbling pod on it. The bubbling basically increases your chance of finding a rare Pokémon which will definitely help you find Corsola faster. Take note that you'll usually find a bubbling pod once you enter any body of water but if you don't, you can simply leave from the area and come back to reset the field.

Now, Corsola has a 20% encounter rate so don't be discouraged if you find a Magikarp or whatnot at you first couple of tries. You can always leave and come back to the same fishing spot to reset the field. Once you managed to find Corsola, this is where you will begin chaining the Adrenaline Orb trick until Corsola will call out Mareanie. For those of you wondering how Adrenaline Orb trick works, it basically makes the Pokémon nervous and once you dropped its HP low enough, it'll call out for help. You can then apply the same method on the new Pokémon and make it call for another help, hence the Adrenaline Orb chain trick.

Mareanie has good stats overall but its main strength comes from its unique ability called Merciless which is the ability to inflict critical hits on all of its attacks against any Pokémon that is Poisoned.
