Storimõd is a mobile game that is based on Pokemon GO. Ironically, its latest update introduced a trading system and improved PvP mode which are both absent in Pokemon GO.

Storimõd 6.0 Update Introduces Trading System

Storimõd first gained attention as a Pokemon GO inspired game that allows two players to fight in single combat via the game's Battlemõd feature. Its latest update has expanded the game even further with the introduction of a trading system.

Trade in Storimõd however, will focus on Pokemon used or can be used in Battlemõd. Every traded Pokemon will maintain a history detailing its place of origin, where it has travelled and its former owners. Pokemon entered in trade will have a record of its wins and losses including every opponent it has fought.

Revamped Battlemõd Mechanics

Early critics of Storimõd pointed to the seemingly lack of consistency regarding the attack and damage values in Battlemõd. This is no longer the case when the new update virtually revamped the PvP feature. Storimõd developers made significant changes in the Battlemõd mechanics. Interestingly, the developer said that they prefer to emulate the classic Pokemon turn-based battle system than Pokemon Go's battle gym mechanics. A 24-Hour Stale Battle forfeit penalty has also been added.

Other Updated Features in Storimõd

Other notable new features include a Text /Links Posts where players can send a message or link to their friends. An ELO Leaderboard has also been added to show the player's ranking in the game. A detailed video tutorial can be seen here.

Storimõd developers mentioned that they want to develop a game that is accessible to all gamers especially those with disabilities. Storimõd is intended to help gamers with disabilities enjoy games they would not otherwise play.
