A new Glossy Black version of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be soon available for purchase. Leaked images show the Glossy Black Galaxy S7 Edge in all its glory.

This new color way is obviously an answer to the Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus that Apple released in September. The new S7 Edge in Glossy Black is as glossy as the Jet Black iPhone 7, at least in the leaked pictures. It may be different in real life, but it will definitely be a fingerprint and smudge magnet.

The South Korean smartphone maker's Galaxy S7 Edge is already available in Onyx Black, which also has a glossy black hue. However, that version of the device has a grey metal side frame. The side frame on the upcoming Glossy Black version is all matte black. This gives the device a very stealthy look.

According to PhoneArena, Samsung should have included this color option from the start. From the leaked pictures, posted by SamMobile via a Weibo user, the new black color does not look that different in shade from the Onyx Black. It could be because the photos were not of great quality, perhaps better photos will do more justice.

As mentioned earlier, the Glossy Black Galaxy S7 Edge will most certainly attract a lot of fingerprints, smudges and even scratches. The Jet Black iPhone 7 does and Apple recommends a case. It could be the same scenario with the S7 Edge.

Availability

The Glossy Black Galaxy S7 Edge should be available in December, as per several reports. The recently launched Blue Coral version saw a global launch. Thus, the Glossy Black version should also be available in various regions around the world and in the U.S., as Samsung is hoping to increase sales after the Note 7 fiasco.
