‘Quantico' In Danger Of Cancelation By May 2017; How ABC Attempts To Save Season 2

For several times already, "Quantico" has been the subject of speculations of cancelation. Now on its second season, the thriller drama series has already reached its all-time low ratings. Latest reports hint that "Quantico" season 2 could be the last aired in May 2017.

"Quantico" Canceled By May 2017

There could be no more renewal of ABC's primetime series "Quantico" after season 2 following its deep struggles with audience share and ratings. According to a report from Screen TV, a well-known publication for predicting cancelation of shows, "Quantico" "needs more help that it's getting. The show's latest ratings share falls at 0.77 in 18-49 demographic."

The series is one of ABC's five shows that didn't reach the 1 point mark. These shows include "Notorious," "Conviction," "Secret and Lies," and "Dr. Ken." It is important to note that the first two shows have already been confirmed to be canceled. "Quantico" season 1 was able to secure an average of 1.24 ratings in the same demographic which translates to 4.34 million total viewers.

ABC's Attempt To Save "Quantico"

Having previously reached the pedestal in season 1 premiere, "Quantico" has seen the potential to muster a huge chunk of America's viewership given a more exciting and well-developed storyline. Showrunners have been doubling its efforts to modify weaknesses in its storyline in hopes to bring back the glory that it once had. As of the latest, ABC's attempt to save the series is by moving it to a new schedule where it is expected to grow its audiences. "Quantico" season 2 airs Monday nights beginning Jan. 23, 2017 on the same timeslot that made "The Bachelor" the second highest rated series on ABC last season.
