Battlefield 1 Free Content Arriving This December, 3 Other DLCs Revealed

The newest title from EA DICE called Battlefield 1 is among the popular ones of today. Since its release, the player pool continues to increase. Now, the studio is looking to introduce not only one but four expansion packs. Well, this is basically a standard in the franchise. But before the paid ones will arrive, fans are believed to be given a free DLC first.

According to PC Advisor, a downloadable content is coming to the game sometime this month. It's said to feature a unique multiplayer map, one that's fresh and new. It's based on the Battle of the Selle, which took place in the autumn of 1918.

The aforementioned Battlefield 1 DLC is called Giant's Shadow. While there are no other information (except the one mentioned above), it's rumored to be given for free. This is definitely a huge treat. Besides, it's only timely for the Yuletide season.

As for the paid contents, they're still wrapped in mystery. However, the publication states that the first one will be titled They Shall Not Pass. The latter is going to focus on the great country that is France. It'll feature a new set of multiplayer maps as well, with talks about it spotlighting either Battle of Verdun or Battle of Somme (or both).

The said Battlefield 1 DLC is deemed to be unleashed sometime in March next year. It also remains uncertain if whether or not EA DICE will only make it available to Season Pass owners. Note that those players who own the SP are given at least two weeks of early access to any forthcoming features and/or maps.

The studio, however, has remained quiet regarding the existence of the other expansions. There are rumors, though, stating that among these will introduce the so-called Russian Empire. If speculations are to be of truth, then it's safe to say that there will be a total of 16 multiplayer maps. Players are also expected to be introduced to brand new modes and operations, as well as new weapons and Elite classes.
