In less than a week, a new Star Wars Battlefront DLC will soon be live and fans of the action shooter game developed by EA DICE sure can't wait to get their hands on it as soon as they see its latest trailer. The upcoming Star Wars Battlefront patch is called Rogue One: Scarif and see if you can spot its similarities to the upcoming Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif trailer was just released by EA and gamers can see why they ought to be excited for the DLC release as it features two new heroes and maps. This new Star Wars game expansion is said to follow Rogue One: A Star Wars Story maps, including "sandy beaches of Scarif - an all-new tropical planet crawling with Imperials - which should look mighty familiar to anyone who saw the movie trailer," as described by EA and DICE.

Star Wars Battlefront DLC Rogue One: Scarif's two new heroes are Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic and they will be introduced with some gameplay changes that can be seen in the recently-released trailer.

"In Rogue One: Scarif, players can experience all-new epic battles and content inspired by the upcoming film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Two new playable heroes, Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic join the battle, four new maps all set in the tropical jungles and beaches of Scarif are introduced, and a new multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat makes its debut," EA said.

While the heroes' abilities haven't been confirmed, it was reported that Krennic seems to be able to call aerial reinforcements. Additionally, the new Star Wars Battlefront DLC will have a "multi-phase game mode" which can shift from space to ground assault.

Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif is slated to be release for Season Pass holders for PS4, Xbox One and PC on Dec. 6 and two weeks later for the rest.
