What In The World Is Daryl Dixon From The Walking Dead Doing In This Weird Game?

Death Stranding has a lot of things going for it aside from its creepy title and amazing visuals. One of them has something to do with The Walking Dead franchise which the game is banking on.

The first teaser trailer of Death Stranding was shown during the E3 conference but last December 1 during the annual The Game Awards, they teased a much-longer trailer that revealed a lot what fans should expect.

As mentioned above, it has a very familiar character, Daryl Dixon, from the Walking Dead series - Norman Reedus. He will be the main character of the game and playing opposite him is Mads Mikkelsen, who was the popular villain in Casino Royale.

That's just the beginning because the game is created by Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear. He is collaborating with another big shot in the game industry, director Guillermo del Toro, and Reedus. The game is funded by Sony so that will be a clue already that the game will be an exclusive PS4 title.

Before Death Stranding was created, both Kojima and del Toro were working on a reboot of Silent Hills for Konami. However, Konami and Kojima had a falling out when he was kicked out from the helm of Metal Gear, his very brainchild.

Kojima presented the trailer when he received the Industry Icon Award. He told the audience that he brought a surprise and debuted the trailer for everyone.

The trailer revealed some amazing graphics but no one is sure what the story is really all about. One thing is certain - it will be very gross based on the trailer. In one scene, there are some warplanes flying overhead followed by trails of black tentacles. In another scene, there was a tank rolling with the same black tentacles on its side while an army of skeletons in fatigues marched behind it.
