Battlefield 1 Players Might Be Able To Dig In The Ground Soon

It holds true that Battlefield 1 is one of the few successful titles of this year. However, EA DICE believes that there's more that it can offer to the community. Well, this is actually true. In the game, players have these shovels. Sadly, they aren't able to use. But hey, it seems that it's going to be a thing in the past sooner or later.

A Reddit user by the name of WWIflyingace62 suggested that shovels should make sense in the game, as reported by TweakTown. After all, they're there, so why not make its intended function working. Basically, some players are suggesting that through the tool they'll be able to dig deep into the ground.

For instance, Battlefield 1 players can dig trenches even if they're temporary. From there, opponents will have a hard time. The aforesaid trenches can work as a cover. And that way, players on the opposite side will have to rethink and review their strategies.

Fortunately, one of EA DICE's (by the name of Maars_DICELA) developers offered a resounding response. He pointed out that they've initially thought of making shoving a part of the game. However, it only brings "weirdness" or inconsistency into the game. Nonetheless, he never left the door close, suggesting that it can become possibly. Heck, he even said that might be brought back just as soon as the CTE (Community Test Environment)) is 100 percent running.

The studio, via the aforesaid developer, sees the shovel as an exciting addition to Battlefield 1. However, apart from the above mentioned reason, this has to be reviewed. That the studio wants to ensure that it'll of the same amount of enthusiasm and excitement to the game. That in order for it to be successful, they have to develop it in a way that it's acceptable.
