Bungie has released the biggest update for Destiny: Rise of Iron yet. The Dawning is the expansion to Sparrow Racing League (SRL) which happens in December. Here's a rundown on what will happen with The Dawning beginning Dec. 13.
The Dawning - Schedule Of Release
Bungie will release The Dawning on Tuesday, Dec. 13 and it will run until Jan. 3. At different time zones, The Dawning will begin in UK at 6:00 p.m. (GMT), Europe at 6:00 p.m. (CEST), East Coast in US at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) and West Coast in US at 10:00 a.m. (PDT).
The Dawning - New Strike Scoring Mode
Destiny has a new Strike Scoring Mode. This feature will gauge you in terms of enemy takedowns throughout Strikes. This is applicable to you as an individual player and as a team. On top of that, you will be given Bounties and rewards to finish in the course of your journey. With the new Strike Scoring, The Dawning brings in revamped Strikes like The Will of Crota, The Shadow Thief and The Nexus alongside new enemies and missions.
The Dawning - Themed Mystery Boxes
Apart from the new sparrows, consumables, emotes, mystery boxes are available for sale from Tess Evris with Silver. A daily gift will also be awarded at the Tower for players who log in to the game each day.
The Dawning - New Exotics, Gears, Ornaments
The Dawning brings Year 1 Ice Breaker and it's totally revamped. Variants of the Thunderlord machine gun-Nova Mortis and Abaddon-will also make their debut appearances. Other new ornaments include Last Word, Thorn, Black Spindle and Red Death.
The Dawning - New Record Book
The new record book also has improvements on its own. The Competitive Spirit book comes free of charge to all Rise of Iron players. It brings challenges like the Sparrow Racing League and the Strike Scoring.
The Dawning - Sparrow Racing League
The Sparrow Racing League could be the much-anticipate content in this holiday event. The race returns with two new race tracks and two from last year. When The Dawning ends in January, SRL will go on with Destiny Private Matches. The race drops gears and reportedly offers quests. New sparrows include EV-51 Sunstroke and EV-44 Firefly.
