On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Rossum made an announcement that she will continue playing the role of Fiona Gallagher. A trusted television insider also reported that the actress and the show finally resolved the salary dispute.

There were rumors that "Shameless" season 8 is in danger of cancelation after Rossum, who plays one of the lead roles in the series, refused to take the deal on the table. Reports suggested that the actress was demanding for salary parity since William H. Macy who plays the role of Franks is receiving a higher salary. This dispute is said to be the reason why Showtime cannot proceed with the season 8 renewal since they did not expect Rossum's camp to demand more than what they were offering.

Early on Wednesday, Rossum announced through Twitter that she is happy to be with her "SHAMELESS Family." She also mentioned that she will be back to work in May. Since the last episode of the series is scheduled to air in December, working in May is a big clue that the network will push through with the season 8 renewal. As of the moment, there is no renewal announcement from Showtime but it is just a matter of time before the network issues a press release.

"Shameless" season 7 is scheduled to air its final episode soon. Spoilers for the series finale suggest that Monica is going to die and Frank is back to his old ways of scheming. This time, he has no qualms about involving the kids in a drug-related errand.

The mission is quite a success and the kids retrieve the valuable contents of the locker. Frank and Fiona will have a huge fight about what to do with the drugs. Fiona wants the meth flushed down the toilet. Frank disagrees with Fiona since he wants to sell the drugs for the money.
