Apple Rolls Out iOS 10.2.1 Beta 2

Apple is not done releasing new betas for the holiday season and the high-tech company just seeded on Tuesday, Dec, 20, iOS 10.2.1 and MacOS 10.12.3 Sierra Developer Beta 2

iOS 10.2.1 Beta 2 Release

The new iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 contains the same known issues that were present in the built released six days ago. According to Neowin, the latest iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 release brings the build number to 14D15. Among the issues still present in this new built are the fact that the TV app cannot be restored after being deleted and that SOS is only supported in India.

According to Techno Buffalo, the roll out of iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 comes shortly after the bigger iOS 10.2 release was made available now for everyone. The iOS 10.2 is Apple's latest major update for iPads and iPhones, including many new features. Among them are included more than 100 new Emoji, notification support for HomeKit accessories, improvements for Live photos, Apple's brand new TV app, bug fixes in Memories and more.

The iOS 10.2 fixes the out of focus issue for FaceTime participants and improves Bluetooth connectivity and performance with third party accessories. The OS update also fixes an issue that prevented completing playback on some Visual Voicemail and the Safari Reader issue that causes some articles to open as empty pages.

Small Improvements With iOS 10.2.1 Beta 2

As even its name suggests, the iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 is certainly not going to be as feature-packed as the iOS 10.2 release. The beta 2 roll out is intended to continue to improve performance and eradicate some programming bugs.

It is still unclear if the iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 would start to help the users who have battery life issues with the iPhone 6s. For now, the only solution available to those users is to bring their smartphones to Apple for battery replacements.
