Tom Clancy's The Division DLC Update: Survival Expansion Now Available on PS4; Third Expansion Planned For Next Year

PS4 players of The Division will enjoy an improved gaming experience because the game has now a better frame rate. Ubisoft has also made other improvements on the game. The recent release of the Survival Expansion on PlayStation 4 will also enable gamers using PS4 to enhance their gaming experience. XBox One and PC users have already been given this update earlier.

Ubisoft Is Planning For A Third Expansion Next Year

There was a first expansion that Ubisoft has released earlier this year. But the game developer is still planning to release a third expansion by next year. After this third expansion is released, perhaps the game quality of The Division will have improved so much that more gamers would patronize it.

The Survival Expansion of The Division is priced at $14.99. It is included in the game's season pass that costs $40. All in all, the game will have three survival expansions. The first one is called Underground, the current expansion is called Survival and the third and last expansion will be called Last Stand. The third and probably the last expansion is slated to be released in early 2017.

The Focus Of The Second Expansion Is Survival

According to GameSpot, the focus of this current expansion of The Division is the Survival mode. The setting of this current expansion is frozen New York City. The residents are forced to scrounge for anything such as weapons, food and supply. In this environment, the player must do all he can to survive since the elements and other survivors appear to be against him.

Gamers may wonder why the first two expansions of The Division were first introduced on the PC and XBox One before they were released on PS4. This arrangement is part of the deal between Ubisoft and Microsoft. As per their agreement, all DLCs for the game will be released first on XBox One and PC before PS4.
