The Steam Awards has started on Dec. 22. There will be a number of awards that will be given to the qualified games that were previously nominated by the Steam Selection Committee. By last count, there were more than 15 million nominations received by the said committee. It should be a difficult job for its members to vote for each award category that will go on until Dec. 30. The winners will be declared on New Year's Eve.

There is a special Steam Award that will be given this year. The title of the award is "I Thought This Game Was Cool Before It Won An Award." That's a cool way of showing that the video game that will earn it has been thought by many as a good game even when nobody has regarded it that way. Here are the nominated video games that fans can vote for today.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a game that offers players the chance to experience what truck drivers are facing on the road. It is created and published by SCS Software and is playable on MacOSX, Linux and Microsoft Windows. It debuted on Oct. 19, 2012.

Starbound

Starbound is a video game in the action-adventure genre. The player can explore the game's two-dimensional universe to acquire armor, weapons and things he needs while visiting the villages and towns inhabited by intelligent lifeforms. It can be played on Windows, Linux And OS X.

Paladins

Paladins is a First Person Shooter video game with a sci-fi setting and the Champions as the main characters. Each of these playable characters has their particular abilities and functions. Paladins was developed by Hi-Rez Studios.

Stardew Valley

This is also a role-playing video game where the player is transformed from a desk-job employee to a country farmer. The player has to manage the farm and all the things therein.

Unturned

This video game has a zombie survival theme. The player starts out with nothing and must scrounge for food, supplies and weapons in order to survive.
