Bell Samsung Galaxy S3 Gets A New Color

Although Samsung recently made the big announcement of its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, its predecessor, Galaxy S3, has not lost its shine. It's still going strong with Canadian carrier Bell, which is introducing the smartphone in a new color, Sapphire Black.

Currently, Bell is offering the other three colors versions of Galaxy S3 for free on a three-year contract and for $649.95 without any contract. Reportedly, the new version of the handset will also cost $649.95 without any contract.

"The Samsung Galaxy S III will be getting a new coat of paint soon. We've already seen this one-time flagship Android come in white, blue and red ... but now you can expect to see a black version appear in-stores. We can now confirm that Bell will officially be releasing the GSIII in black on March 26th for the ripe price of $650 no-term. Bell has also informed staff that 'stores can begin selling upon receipt of inventory,' which might be happening as early as Thursday March 21," said Mobile Syrup.

Initially, Bell launched the smartphone in Marble White and Pebble Blue colors and from October 2012, the carrier also started offering the Garnet Red color. Now the Sapphire Black version of the handset will also appear on Bell soon.

The Galaxy S3 adopts a material called Hyperglaze on the back cover casing, which creates an illusion of dual colors, adding depth to the design as well as elevating the phone's aesthetic look.

Samsung describes the Sapphire Black handset as "A colour that adds the mysterious power of dark stones to the refined, deep sophistication of the colour black, Sapphire Black is inspired by the stones used by the ancient people of India and Persia for protection, with the belief they strengthened one's willpower."

With the Galaxy S4 expected to hit shelves in May, it will be interesting to see if the Sapphire Black version of Galaxy S3 is able to attract more customers to Bell.
