Final Fantasy XIV's Stormblood Expansion Launch Date Confirmed; Collector's Edition Contents, New Job Class, New Raids Revealed

Square Enix has announced the launch date of Final Fantasy XIV's next expansion, Stormblood. It will be launched on June 20, 2017, confirmed during the FFXIV FanFest this weekend. Stormblood will take place in the location of Ala Mhigo with the players to face off against a protagonist named Zenos.

Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood And Update 4.0

Stormblood is the next expansion of Final Fantasy 14 available for PC and PS4 on June 20 next year, Square Enix tweeted. The details of this expansion were revealed and announced during the Fan Fest in Last Vegas on October 14. Stormblood was reported to be released as a part of Update 4.0 of the game.

Update 4.0 brings a lot of changes in the game including the increase level cap from 60 to 70. New jobs will also be showcased during the update. Along with it are new tools for the existing jobs. There will be also new raids on more other stuff.

Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood Collector's Edition

The collector's edition of the "full standalone game's worth of content," as what the director Naoki Yoshida has promised, will contain the following: a special package featuring original art by Yoshitaka Amano, exclusive high-quality Zenos figure, Stormblood art book, and a cloth map of Eorzea. It will also contain an original decal, in-game items, Syldra Mounta, wind-up Bartz Minion, and Red Mage Main Arm: Chicken Knife.

Final Fantasy 14: Rage Mage Class

The new Rage Mage class is a ranged DPS character with rapiers as melee attacks and crystals magic as ranged attacks. Rage Class has a starting level of 50 and is not associated with other classes. This class has the ability to deal massive damage by stacking its spells using its skill called "Chainspell" and melee attacks.

Final Fantasy 14: New Raids Called 'The Bend of Time - Omega' And 'Return to Ivalice'

'The Bend of Time - Omega' is a raid which caters eight players to fight against an Omega Weapon. Square Enix did not provide other detail about the 'Return to Ivalice' other than it is a 24-man raid. Final Fantasy 14 has its previous expansion called Heavensward.
