Xbox Scorpio Update: What Makes It Worth The Wait?

The Xbox Scorpio is slated for a release within the year. In line with this, there have already been several rumors regarding its features that would definitely make it worth the wait.

Part of the features the Xbox Scorpio is rumored to have includes support for Virtual Reality (VR), 4K HDTV resolution, plus an AMD Vega Central Process in Unit, as well as a RAM rating of 5GB, DDR5. It is expected to carry a $600 price tag.

In a statement released by Phil Spencer of Microsoft, balance among the components is put on top priority, as it is what matters most for both gamers and consumers, and that they are not necessarily trying to  compete in the high-end market.

Other features include a 320GB per second transfer rate, with other rumors highly suggesting that instead of 5GB, DDR5, its RAM would be 12 GB, GDDR5. As of the moment, console from rival PS4 has a transfer rate of 176 GB/sec, with a 68 GB/sec rate for the Scorpio's predecessor, the Xbox One.

According to thebitbag.com, given these features, Xbox fans are genuinely looking forward to the release of the said console, given that Microsoft has been urged to join the VR-compatible console Bandwagon, after Sony has previously already released PS4 Slim, Pro, and VR.

According to neurogadget.net, the release is to be done through the "Xbox Scorpio Project" in the last quarter of 2017. Through the Xbox Project Scorpio, features to be highlighted include enabling the 4K HDTV Gaming Experience, Virtual Reality, Game Compatibility, plus an Impressive Graphics Processing Unit.

These features while not necessarily the most advanced, is a great step for Microsoft for standing out in the console industry, and is a testament to Microsoft's excellence in the said field. Surely, the Xbox Project Scorpio will be the best of what Microsoft wanted could be as it speaks for quality and technological superiority.
