Nintendo Switch News: Jan. 13 Livestream About Switch Games Announced, Price And Release Date Leaked By Online Retailer

The Nintendo Switch is arguably the most anticipated game console in recent years. And the excitement is spilling over with just a few days before the Nintendo Switch Presentation.

Nintendo of America announced in a tweet last Jan. 5 that a Treehouse event will take place a few hours after the Switch reveal event in Tokyo which will be on Jan. 12. This basically assures that lots of people, Nintendo fans, in particular, will set aside sleep for a while as they await what games the Switch will have.

The live event will be held at 9:30 a.m. EST and will focus on the upcoming Switch games. Among the most anticipated and expected game titles to be available on the Switch is the upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild". The latest version of the classic game is expected t release at the same time as the Switch.

And if that bit of news is not enough to keep fans on the edge of their seats, maybe the recent leak about the hybrid console will. GameSeek, an online video game retailer based in the UK, may have dropped the bomb when it listed the price and date of release of the Switch on its website.

The leak was picked up by Game Rant which mentioned in its report that the Switch will be available for £198.50, which is worth roughly $234. GameSeek also listed the release date as March 17, 2017.

These details can easily be dismissed as placeholders for the Switch but if they are indeed proven true, then that means fans need to wait a little over two months before they can finally get their hands on the console.

It is advised, however, for interested parties to not wait until March 17 to buy a Switch. To prevent a frustrating treasure hunt similar to that for the NES Classic Edition, fans can pre-order the Switch. Normally, pre-ordering commences after the price of a device is officially announced.
