Pokemon Sun And Moon Second Global Mission Fails Objective; Find Out Why

The Pokemon Sun and Moon second global mission ended in failure. There are a number of possible reasons why it did not succeed.

The Second Global Mission

Pokemon Sun and Moon players who participated in the recent global mission were supposed to catch a million Pokemon. Unfortunately, only more than 600,000 were submitted instead of the targeted goal of 1 million, according to serbii. The participating players only need to send the Island Scan of their captured Pokemon. Each participant could have won 4,034 in Festival coins had they succeeded in the second global quest. Unfortunately, such was not the case.

Possible Reasons For Failure

The first global mission was far loftier since it required 100 million Pokemon. It also ended in failure since only around 16 million were submitted. The second world quest should have been easier since the target was only one million. The Island scan also made capture and submission smoother than the last one.

Still, the second global quest ended failure due to several possible reasons. Lack of interest among players is seen as one of the main cause. The Island Scan feature was also not available when the second global mission started. On the other hand, players who finished the game are the only ones who can unlock the Island Scan. This means that the numbers of participants are far lower in the second global mission than the first one.

Possible End of Global Quests

Pokemon Sun and Moon game developer Game Freak devised the global missions. The fans lukewarm response to the worldwide seems to indicate that developer should probably change its tack. Perhaps Game Freak should set more modest mission objectives for the game. Those who participated though did not come empty handed. Registered participants still received 217 Festival Coins. Despite the two failures, there are still more than enough willing players for these kinds of quests.
