Nintendo NES Classic: Do You Really Need One?

Nintendo NES Classic: Do You Really Need One?

It has been, so far, a good 3 months for old-time gamers. Nintendo has recently released a console that would bring nostalgia back to most of the adults. They brought back the Nintendo Entertainment System and dubbed the new miniature one as the NES Classic Edition

With all the hype and the demands, have you ever questioned to yourself if you really need the NES Classic? Or are you just too hyped that you forgot to think if you really need to get one?

Like any other consoles, the NES Classic also have its positives and negatives. Here are some of them to help you decide whether you truly need the console right now.

Pros

Nostalgia factor

The original NES console was released back in 1983 in Japan and 1985 for North America. It was no doubt one of the greatest consoles ever. The NES Classic Edition copied everything from the original NES console, only differing with a smaller box. With the release of the mini version, fans of both young and young at heart will get to enjoy the classic games that became famous with the NES console.

Reasonable Price

The NES Classic Edition features a whopping 30 built-in classic games in the console, and it is on sale for only $59.99. The NES Classic has been modeled and designed for those who wants to feel nostalgic. So for those who grew up with the original NES, you might want to consider picking up the Classic edition for a trip back to your childhood.

Cons:

The Controller problem

Everything looks absolutely great for the NES Classic Edition. But there is only one problem that's holding it back from being perfect: the short controller wire. The controller wire is only about 2.5 feet in length, making it extremely hard to lean back to the couch to relax and enjoy your game. Unfortunately, Nintendo has no plans of releasing a wireless NES controller to solve this issue.

On the upside, though, you can get an addition controller for only $10 if you want to have a co-op or versus game with your friend.
