It's Confirmed! Legend Of Zelda: Breathe Of The Wild Will Be The Nintendo Switch Launch Title

After months of speculations, Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is Nintendo's launch title. It was just confirmed in the recently concluded Nintendo Switch live stream full presentation.

As confirmed, the Legend of Zelda game will be launched together with the Nintendo Switch on March 3, 2017 in all major territories. The Switch will have a different UK and US pricing. In the US, it will be $299.99 while it will cost £279.99 in the UK.

Aside from the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Nintendo also revealed the games that will come to Switch including their launch timelines. All in all, the Switch has more than 80 games in development already.

On April 28, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will come to Switch and in spring, the fighting game ARMS will be part of the roster. Splatoon, on the other hand, will come in the summer of 2017 while Super Mario Odyssey will have a holiday launch.

Other game titles that will come to the Nintendo Switch but with no exact release date yet are Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Dragon Quest titles, New Shin Megami Tensei, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, New No More Heroes, FIFA, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, Just Dance 2017, Rayman Legends Definitive Edition, and Steep. There's also an undisclosed RPG game from Square Enix.

The Nintendo Switch package will include two Joy-Con controllers as well as a Joy-Con grip where you can place the controllers. There will also be Joy-Con wrist straps, an AC adaptor, and an HDMI cable.

As for the Switch features, it will have three modes: TV, Tabletop, and Handheld modes as well as motion controls. There is also support for multiplayer gaming as it can hold up to eight systems. Finally, the Switch's battery can last between 2 - 6 hours depending on the use.
