Male And Female Brains Believed To Be A Lot More Alike Than What The General Public Know By Far

There has been a long-running argument about the differences between male and female brains, and as to what extent they are different. However, recent study shows just how much these brains are very much alike.

Men Have Larger Amygdala Due To Larger Bodies; Proportionality As A Great Factor

It has been theorized for years now that since the amygdala plays a very important role in a person's emotions, aggression and sexual arousal that it differs for both men and women. Researchers believe that they are different in size or composition due to the difference of emotions between the two genders. However, this case only applies positively in rats or test subjects other than the human brain. Reports have claimed that early MRI scans show that men have larger amygdalae than that of women, but with the evolution of science and its technology, it is safe to say that some previous studies may not be as accurate as they were once before.

Dr. Lise Eliot of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science has decided to look closely at the expanded MRI data based on today's technology. Upon study, it has been discovered that men have been recorded on data to have larger amygdalae is because they have larger bodies. They are only large in volume to keep its proportionality to the bodily structures of the being. However, upon close observation, the right side of the amygdala is identical to that of both men and women.

Male And Female Brains Still Very Much Identical Contrary To Previous Studies

Thus, Dr. Eliot claims that there is no such thing as "male brains" or "female brains" since the two are very much identical to one another. This falls solely on gender inequality at some point, claiming that men are better in some aspects just because it has been said that they have larger brains. However, a difference in volume does not necessarily mean a difference in content as they still function very much similarly depending of course on the rightfulness of its composition.
