Ark: Survival Evolved Update: A Surprise Feature Is Coming

Just recently, Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard announced that the Tek Tier update will be delayed. The highly anticipated patch is expected to bring a couple of exciting things, though. And while the delay may have been a dagger to the hearts of many fans, the company promised one thing -- a surprise feature is on its way.

When the first Tek Tier to Ark: Survival Evolved update was announce, it ignited most of the fans in the community. After all, it's the first of the many updates that the studio is set to roll out. As reported by iDigitalTimes, it was meant to be released last January 20.

Unfortunately, just a day before that, the aforementioned Ark: Survival Evolved patch was pushed back. The announcement was made via the game's official Steam page. Studio Wildcard iterated that patch v. 254, which contains the Tek Tier update, will instead come later this month.

The new official date for the Ark: Survival Evolved update will be on Jan. 30 (which is just 10 days from the firstly announced date). The developers assured the fans that the move they did is totally worth it. The studio explained that they didn't expect the patch to be this big, thus requiring them to need more time in terms of development.

The interesting part in the announcement is the promised surprise feature that's coming to Ark: Survival Evolved. The video game company, however, didn't specify what it's all about. Instead, it's going to be a treat to the fanbase due to the delay.

It's also worth noting that Ark: Survival Evolved patch 254 isn't only coming to PC. Contrary to popular belief, it'll be made available to all console owners -- either Xbox One or PC. The recent update the developers made to the game's console version was a bit of a hiccup. Players were reportedly experiencing issues. Nevertheless, the studio hopes to correct these in the forthcoming update.
