Sega Uploads An Entire Soundtrack Of Retro Game Music On Spotify

Good news for all the retro gamers out there. Sega just uploaded a whole lot of music to Spotify, and it includes soundtracks from classic games like Sonic, Fantasy Zone, Virtua Fighter and Skies of Arcadia.

According to Destructoid, a whole lot of music from the classic games was dumped onto the account, so players looking for sounds for old games like Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio and Galaxy Force are sure to find some right at Sega's Spotify.

Game Tyrant points out that the library is not that complete, however. The soundtrack for the first three Sonic the Hedgehog games are missing, but that does not mean that the playlist is devoid from any other Sonic track. As of now, the "popular" playlist is filled with tunes from Sonic, including "Sonic Boom," "Escape from the City" and "Stardust Speedway."

As of now, a lot of people are going on a nostalgia trip with the playlist that was released by Sega. Some of the music released in the list span for about two decades, with songs from the 80s as well as the 90s and early 2000s. People are sure to remember a lot of tunes from the different Sega consoles as well like the Sega Saturn and the Dreamcast.

Speaking of Sonic, Sonic Mania will be one of the titles coming to the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch. The Switch is considered to be the first of its kind, a console-handheld hybrid, and a lot of hype has built up on the device that pre-orders have sold out, and some are worried that there won't be enough units to sell come the launch date on March.

Though Sega may not be the console giant that it is now, a lot of fans still remember how big of an impact the company had with gamers in the 90s. Fans can check out Sega's Spotify here.
