The auto show season is all about the latest and greatest cars with the newest features. All the visitors of the 2017 Philadelphia Auto Show will be impressed as they see the latest high-tech gadgets available in cars these days. Including in the event are the 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and the next generation of General Motors' midsize SUV that both features wifi, a safety alert seat and Rear Seat Reminder.

All the covers are off and all windows are being wiped ahead for tonight’s Black Tie Tailgate. The 2017 Auto Show executive director Kevin Mazzucola claims that there are a bunch of new car models on display, such as the Lexus LC500. And in this year's event will have a Hollywood exhibit, according to CBS Philly.

The 2017 Philadelphia Auto Show kicks off with a fundraising gala Friday night and opens to the public Saturday. The event is all happening at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The schedule will be as follows, Saturday, Feb. 4: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.;

 Sunday, Feb. 5: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 The price for ages 13 to 61 years old is $14, for ages from 62 and up is $7 and for the active military, the price is $11.

The cars that are showing today don’t just move people from place to another place -- they provide all the comfort and connectivity of the people as if they are just in the living room of their house. So here are some of the newest, coolest and greatest features that you may experience to some of the vehicles at the auto show, according to Philly. For those who cannot afford to be at the show, you can just read and imagine.

Connectivity: The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and General Motors Corporation (GMC) Terrain offer WiFi hotspots, so the kids and even adults can surf the web, play video games and watch movies without much concern about dead spots or using up smartphone minutes while traveling. Another unique feature in these car models and other latest cars is the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. These features are pretty much enabled users to access all the features of your smartphone without much adjustment.

Remote services: The new Hyundai spinoff Genesis car model will go a step further with its 2018 Genesis G80 luxury sedan. Genesis Connected Services takes the usual array of car locator and the enhanced roadside assistance services on another step. All Genesis owners can use their Amazon Alexa to remotely start and set up the cabin temperature as well as locking and unlocking doors remotely.

Pedestrian safety: The new model of Kia, the 2018 Kia Stinger, gives people good looks and sports-car handling – at least people who were expecting a run-of-the-mill Kia. Like many other cars on the road, the Stinger offers forward collision assistance with integrated autonomous emergency braking. Not only will it detect a potential collision with another vehicle or pedestrian, but it will also help stop the car.

Driver alerts: New car buyers are now treated to a whole host of radar- and camera-based technologies. Just like many General Motors car models that are made for the last five or so years, the new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain crossover both feature a safety alert seat. It is a vibration in the left or right seat in front of the car that bolster directs the driver’s attention to the side of the impending obstacle.

Taking care of the kids: It has been a long time now that kids have ridden the backseat for their own protection, but many deadly problems have developed. The new Chevrolet Equinox/GMC Terrain offer Rear Seat Reminder, which allows the drivers to monitors rear doors. When either rear door is opened or closed within 10 minutes of the vehicle's starting, the system will display “Rear Seat Reminder / Look in Rear Seat."
