Pokemon GO players may get to hunt Celebi in the wild using Incense. This was the findings uncovered recently by a dataminer.

The 0.55 Metadata Findings

A SilphRoad user posted some interesting theory that Celebi will spawn only by using incense. The post has now been deleted but it did provoke reactions from the Pokemon GO members. The theory is based on three lines of codes which seemed to indicate Celebi spawns only through Incense. The dataminer though could not provide any more additional details about it. Celebi is not yet present in the game but Niantic is planning to introduce more Pokemon to the game.

Findings Disputed

The idea that Celebi can be summoned by Incense is intriguing and exciting at the same time. Some of the readers though doubt the veracity of such claims. Reddit user Splodeface said that the codes in question do not indicate any relation to each other. In essence, the dataminer may have misread the codes. Unfortunately, all these speculations can be proven or disproven only when Niantic finally releases them.

About Celebi

It's a Physic and Grass Pokemon and part of Generation II. So far, Niantic has provided little information about the new Pokemon coming out. Unlike the others, the Celebi has no evolved form and has no gender, according to bulbapedia.

While Celebi is genderless, most of the other Pokemon have male and female genders. This has led to speculations that Pokemon GO may soon allow breeding in the game. Such concept is not new to the game franchise. In fact, breeding is one of the main activity or obsession of Pokemon trainers in the 3DS games.
