Rainbow Six Siege DLC Update: Velvet Shell Release Date Revealed

Rainbow Six Siege has brought Ubisoft into center stage since its original launching last Dec. 2015. This game has truly proven how famous it is as a competitive shooter and it was able to maintain its user base as well as increasing its player total right after hitting store shelves.

Due to its popularity, Ubisoft revealed that they would be making a year worth of new content for the game. The company is already getting ready for the launching of its first expansion which is known as Operation Velvet Shell next week, according to Game Spot.

As per Game Rant, a new press release confirmed that the first major content update for Rainbow Six Siege Year 2 will be released on all major platforms by Feb. 7. Operation Velvet Shell will be adding two additional operators. It is a new multiplayer map that is made available in PvP and PvE, as well as new bug fixes and balance changes.

Players are expecting to have a full experience about this Rainbow Six Siege prior to the next content release, and this can be realized this weekend starting Feb. 2 to 5 at the free play weekend. The specific details were not yet revealed although Ubisoft has already teased the gaming community through a couple of video trailers lately. Coastline is a new map that is set in the coastline of the Spanish town of Ibiza.

The two members of the Spanish elite unit Grupo Especial de Operaciones (G.E.O) were called to secure the vicinity of a famous nightclub. Ryad Ramirez Al-Hassar is one of the operators. He is also known as Jackal, and it seems like he has grabbed a page from Sam Fisher's playbook through the use of a special set of goggles. This gadget allows him to see the recent footprints of enemies.
