Conan Exiles Cracked Immediately By Pirates

Conan Exiles is an open world survival game that was released by Funcom. It is set to be released on the Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 platforms, however there are no news yet on the exact date of release. An early access of the game was released on the PC through steam last Jan. 31, 2017.

With the release of the game, pirates eventually discovered that Conan Exiles has been uploaded without Denuvo. Denuvo or Denuvo Anti Tamper is an anti-tamper technology, which protects software from being "cracked". Immediately pirates released unauthorized versions of Conan Exiles. The gaming community is still curious as to why this has happened and who is responsible for this incident.

As per PC Gamer, the game Conan Exiles was not actually cracked by pirates. What happened was that Denuvo was removed temporarily because the developers were encountering compatibility problems with the anti-tamper technology during development.

At this moment, the gaming community might be in a dilemma as they have the option to get the official version, or the unauthorized version. Players who opt to get the unauthorized version of the game can still play, but since this is just an early access version that was copied, all the contents and features within this version will be the only ones available in the future.

According to EUROGAMER.net, Funcom mentioned that they can't do anything to persuade players not to download the unauthorized copies, and that players who do get these unauthorized copies should switch to the authorized copies. The reason behind this is so that these players who do the switch can enjoy future updates and improvements to the game.

At the end of the day, even if there is another copy of the game, it is the responsibility of the gaming community to patronize the official version. This is to show support to all those involved that the hard work and effort they put in are not wasted, it also makes sure that the hundreds of employees of Funcom gets fair compensation for Conan Exiles.
