‘Friday The 13th' Reboot And Brad Pitt's 'World War Z' Sequel Delayed; Paramount Pictures Takes Them Off The Release Calendar

It has just been announced that the “Friday the 13th" reboot and Brad Pitt’s “World War Z” sequel has been pulled off the release calendar by Paramount Pictures. This move has gotten both anticipated films to be delayed, sadly, probably until further notice. With both upcoming movies being put on a halt indefinitely, fans are wondering if they’ll ever get to see the reboot and the sequel.

The delay of releasing the reboot of “Friday the 13th" did not come as a surprise because unfortunately, this was not the first time the said movie was postponed. The reboot was announced to be released as early as 2015 and come 2017, it reaches the same fate. The “Friday the 13th" reboot movie was slated to release this year on Oct. 13 but Paramount Pictures has admitted that they have realized that the horror movie is not happening anytime soon.

Another Paramount production that fans have been looking forward to is the sequel to “World War Z” but that probably won’t happen anytime soon, too. Paramount Pictures have scheduled the said sequel to premiere in cinemas on June 9 this year but apparently, they have changed their minds about that, too. One of the factors why “World War Z 2” is being delayed is because the production has not gotten a new director yet since Juan Antonio (J.A.) Bayona left to focus on other commitments.

But it has also been reported that Paramount Pictures is still pushing to release “World War Z 2” in the future, unlike the reboot of “Friday the 13th” franchise. It has been reported that the sequel will hopefully be released next year or in 2019 instead. Starring Brad Pitt, “World War Z” was a great zombie movie but many think they should leave the story as it is because not every blockbuster film needs a sequel.
