NFL Trade Rumors: Bears Frontrunner In Acquiring Patriots' Jimmy Garoppolo; Steelers Turn Down Offers For Antonio Brown

With a historic comeback win against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51, the New England Patriots has reached New heights. But with the 2017 season approaching, among the center of the NFL trade rumors is the Patriots' backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Meanwhile, it looks like the Steelers have a firm hold of Antonio Brown.

Previously NFL trade rumors reported that both Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are interested in Garoppolo. A report from Sports Line revealed that the Chicago Bears are the most favored to land Garoppolo. It said acquiring the quarterback is the top offseason priority for the team. Garoppolo will bring a major upgrade to the Bears. The teams win total could increase by about 22 percent.

Several experts revealed that Garoppolo is most likely to be dealt with the right offer especially with Tom Brady playing with the Patriots for more years. Even with limited playing time, the player has shown what he is capable of. Garoppolo is signed for 2017 with less than $900,000.

Matt Miller, a veteran scout compared Garoppolo with Mitch Trubisky. "About the same size, both with good mobility to get out of the pocket, pretty good arm - not great," he said. "The thing with Garoppolo is his mechanics are better than all these guys."

Meanwhile, it looks like the Pittsburgh Steelers is not letting go of their star wide receiver, Antonio Brown. There's no way the Steelers is going trade Brown. "Several teams have asked the Steelers if Brown is available, and according to two teams, the Steelers have said hell no." Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report said. The player is the key aspect of the Steelers offense and considered the best receiver in the NFL.

The player became a hot topic with a video of him calling the Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin "foolish" and "selfish," which triggered several NFL trade rumors. He then made an apology for the inappropriate behavior. Brown is in his final year of contract with the team.
