Fortunately, though, the Huawei Mate 9 seems to be a very big improvement over its older siblings. In fact, it's durability is on par with its direct competitors.

Huawei Mate 9 Scratch And Burn Test

For the screen scratch test, the Huawei Mate 9 scratches at a level-6 sharpness, just like most phones. When it comes to hardware material, this smartphone is generally made of metal, making it very durable. The only plastic portions of the Huawei Mate 9 is the back panel's top and bottom part, but this is for the signal to go through properly, so there's no reason for the company to use metal for these parts.

However, the phone still works properly after that. Bending the Mate 9 the other way around proves to be a more difficult manner to destroy the phone. The metal is clearly sturdy enough to make the phone solid as a whole.
