BioWare Confirms A New 'Sci-Fi Related' IP; What To Expect?

The details regarding BioWare's mysterious upcoming title have already come in few and far between, yet Electronic Arts CFO, Blake Jorgensen, has already made a confirmation about another detail of the game. This time, it is said to be more "Sci-Fi related," and it may show that Mass Effect and Star Wars title will not be the only ones that BioWare will offer so that they can fuse the futuristic and spacefaring action.

The upcoming title is known to be a huge action-oriented game, especially since EA head, Andrew Wilson, confirmed that the game would be fusing genres so that it can bring in an action-adventure experience. As what can be built, based on its RPG roots and thus place them into this much more action-oriented world. Although he has already officially made a description about the title as an action-adventure, he did not go on to specify anything beyond this. However, he made a confirmation that BioWare indeed owned the IP itself in contrary to other IPs like Star Wars Battlefront.

BioWare GM, Aaron Flynn, who is based in Edmonton, made a promise last January that there will be more information released about the game within the coming months. It only means that it is more likely possible for fans to finally call the game through its proper title sooner and not just simply call it as the mysterious BioWare IP. Flynn was also able to reveal that the game's production has been ongoing for five years now, and he is already excited and confident about the project.

It was around two years ago when BioWare Austin was tapped to handle the creation of the company's latest intellectual property along with Shadow Realms, according to Game Rant. However, the four versus one online title has undergone through several rough patches in development, before its failure on the final attempt to reboot the project.
