Battleborn Easter Egg Reveals Information On Borderlands 3, Details Here

This year's Game Developers Conference (GDC) has unveiled its most exciting development. Gearbox Software revealed, at the same time, a tech demo for Borderlands 3. Official details about Borderlands 3 were not disclosed generously, but its look once its development phase is finished has been shown. There might also be a mystery message that was included in the MOBA/shooter hybrid, Battleborn, which could give more clues about what fans can expect from this long-awaited game.

The latest content update for Battleborn shows that Gearbox extra side missions will be directing players into Varseli Portal anomalies. The anomalies released beeps that were identified as morse code, which were decoded by Reddit user whatsmynameagain. This morse code gave a message that is obviously in reference to Borderlands 3, according to Game Rant.

For those who are not familiar with the Borderlands franchise, they may be scratching their heads because of this odd message. However, fans have a lot to learn about Borderlands 3 from this easter egg that is hidden in Battleborn. The message could point to players who will leave the Pandora planet. This is the setting for the game's first two installment in the series. This will then make players to visit a new planet called Prometea.

Some of the interesting message include that of Patricia Tannis. She is a character that has already made her appearance in all Borderlands. Tannis served as a focus of the story in its first Borderlands game. She has also appeared in a less-exposed role in its sequel and pre-sequel. If there is any indication about this hidden message in Battleborn, it could be that Tannis is actually a kind of a villain. It could also be opening vaults in other games, which makes vault hunters play with her directly. If Borderlands 3 will not show up between now and E3, the announcement at E3 2017 might make it more likely to happen.
