Samsung will announce its new Galaxy S8 on March 29th at a major Unpacked event that will be held in London. This new device is believed to be the best smartphone the Korean tech giant has ever released. On the other note, Samsung's current Galaxy S7 Edge is an award-winning phone and one of the best experiences on the market. Yet the Galaxy S8 remains unconfirmed, but countless speculations paint a vivid picture about the device's specs and features. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S7 is now starting to see price drops with deals also offering free gifts such as a Galaxy 360 camera and Gear Fit smartwatch which may make it more appealing to consumers ahead of the Galaxy S8 release date. Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone was first launched in February 2016. The smartphone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 534 pixels per inch. Powered by 1.6GHz octa-core, it comes with massive 4GB of RAM and packs 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 200GB via a microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge features a 12-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies and can record 4k videos and great in low-light conditions. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is now ready for Android Nougat. Under the hood is a 3600mAh nonremovable battery.

Samsung Galaxy S8: Latest Leak Of Specs And Features

Latest leaks have been circulating on the internet, Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to have a dual-edged curved display with an almost negligible bezel. A separate leak also suggests that the company might launch its next flagship smartphone in two screen size variants, 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch both to feature 4K (2160x3840 pixels) Super AMOLED display and will boast of an impressive pixel density of 806ppi. Recently announced that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ are said to powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC from Qualcomm while an Exynos 8895-based variant is also being speculated. Samsung's highly anticipated flagship will be paired with a 6GB of RAM or an 8GB of RAM. Early leaks highlighted a dual camera setup at the back - one 16-megapixel lens and another 8-megapixel lens. Thrilling features are also expected like the fingerprint and iris scanner, AI assistant Bixby, fast wireless charging and more.

The Verdict

After the huge success of the S7 Edge, clearly, the Galaxy S8 will be even better.  It is likely to be more pretty expensive, though.The S7 Edge is still a fabulous phone and with its drop price, it's now a great time to buy one and is still the best smartphone currently available on the market. So even if the new device is better looking and faster, it might not necessarily be the right choice for everyone, especially those on a budget.
