Splatoon 2, ARMS To Take Centerstage At Nintendo Direct, More Details Revealed

Nintendo Switch continues to boost with popularity nowadays, becoming one of the most sought-after consoles of recent memory. Now, two titles deemed to be exclusives to the console have been revealed. By the looks of it, no wonder fans will find a way to get hold of these games.

According to Express, Nintendo has just announced its upcoming conference called Direct. It's scheduled on April 12 at 11 PM UK time. Nothing specific has been announced about it, but it's revealed that the company plans to unveil two forthcoming games during the conference. These are namely Splatoon 2 and ARMS, both of which are going to be Nintendo Switch exclusives.

The tech giant is also expected to release more info about other 3DS releases, though the focus will mainly be about the aforementioned games. Interested players may watch the conference via the official YouTube channel of the company. They may also opt to go directly to the official Nintendo Direct site here.

Many believed that during the conference, Nintendo will finally reveal the corresponding release dates of both Splatoon 2 and ARMS. Rumors suggest that these are likely to be launched within the year. The company is also believed to talk about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This one in particular is completely understandable, as its release date points to April 28.

BGR, on the other hand, reports that Nintendo has already given players a chance to test Splatoon 2 last March. This game is expected to look and play a lot alike the original title, though it may offer different perspectives. Again, along with ARMS, its release date remains vague.

In related Nintendo Switch news, one of the most talked about games for Nintendo Switch entitled Overwatch is already confirmed to be not included. This was revealed following the game's very own director Jeff Kaplan's announcement. He mentioned about hardware limitations being the primary culprit in bringing the game to the console. While he guaranteed an "open-minded" thinking, for now, it's not just happening.
