2018 GMC Yukon Denali Upgrades: Redesigned Grille And 10-Speed Automatic Transmission

GMC reveals a transmission upgrade for the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali. The grille on the Yukon Denali has been slightly changed, while for the inside, a new Mystique Ash real wood trim option adds a stunning finish. GMC stated that the new sculpted design of the grille should provide extra air flow to the radiator.

The big 2018 GMC Yukon Denali will retain the 6.2L V8 engines that are rated at 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The big highlight for the new Yukon is the addition of a 10-speed automatic transmission to the 6.2-liter V8. Thanks to a lower first gear and higher top gear, the 2018 GMC Yukon Denali's 420-hp V8 could offer more torque down low with better fuel economy while on the highway. The smooth-shifting transmission should already be found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and is anticipated to improve efficiency as well as performance.

According to reports, the Director of Global GMC Exterior Design, Matt Noone explained "The new grille, which is flanked by HID headlamps and LED Signature Lighting, advances the design legacy which is established with the very first Yukon Denali way back 1999," In addition to a stylish new look, the grille adds personalize cooling capabilities to the Denali range. Noteworthy, the active shutters open when additional cooling is needed, or close to reduce aerodynamic drag when the engine isn't too warm.

Other features of the Yukon Denali include the GM's Magnetic Ride Control suspension, an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and also available with Android Auto capability, as well as active noise cancellation and more. GMC also added that more than half of all Yukon's sold are Denali models offered on Yukon and Yukon XL models. The new upgrades of 2018 Yukon will hit dealerships in fall.
