No one would've expected, but the real estate market has been booming in the last couple of months. If you've been planning to sell the house for a couple of months, you probably know that you have the upper hand in the market as a seller. The inventory has dropped to historic lows in many states, resulting in more buyers than listed properties and soaring real estate prices. In some areas, real estate agents are even reaching out to homeowners who don't plan to put their properties on the market and convincing them to accept deals.

So if you want to sell your house, be ready for the wave of potential buyers who may come to you. The market is busier than ever, which means that you'll probably sell the property in no time. However, depending on where your house is located, the market can still be very competitive, and you need to ensure that your house is standing out against the competition

This blog highlights what buyers want to see in a house in 2021.

Workspaces and home offices

Everyone knows that working from home has become a norm since the pandemic, and many people found plenty of joy in this lifestyle. From spending less time commuting to working in a more comfortable space, embracing the remote work lifestyle is on real estate buyers' wish list. This means that they want to have a dedicated workspace if they search for homes for sale in Myrtle Beach. They're not longer happy with a kitchen table that can be converted into a desk because let's be honest no one likes to suffer from back pains and deal with an influx of distractions like pets running around the house, noises from the washing machine, or their partner eating a sandwich next to them.

Outdoors space and garden

Statistics show that the number of buyers who want a house with a garden increased by 42% in May 2020 compared to May 2019. During the pandemic, people worldwide realized how valuable a garden or outdoor space is. With this in mind, they want to purchase a property that allows them to spend time in the sun during the long days of summer.

If you have a small outdoor space, convert it into a green area or a stage socializing area to attract more buyers. A few shrubs and plant pots can make a huge difference.

Wellbeing areas

Even before the pandemic, real estate buyers were looking for open plan kitchens and communal spaces. Since spending so much time isolated in their houses, people have understood that their homes can function as areas that care for their wellbeing if they have the right design. Before you list the property on sale tidy up the house, remove all unnecessary items, and create clear areas. If your children used a part of the living room as their playing area, take their toys out of the room and think about what functionality a possible buyer would find it. Make the house to look like and easy-to-live in area that makes them feel welcomed.
