It is a great time for gamers all around the world to get hyped up for the latest info that we got on AAA games like Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto. Here are the things we were able to dig out.

Vanguard - It's Finally Here

With less than 60 days till launch, we have a lot of information about Call of Duty: Vanguard. Call of Duty has officially announced that they will reveal their new multiplayer in their upcoming Livestream on September 7th at 10 AM PT.

Call of Duty bloggers like CharlieIntel have received a package from Call of Duty which is locked for now. We need to wait till September 7th to see its contents.

Open Beta

Now, this is something we all have been waiting for. We will finally get a glimpse of what Activision has to offer this time.

PlayStation users will get early access to Call of Duty: Vanguard on September 10th, while Xbox and PC players need to wait for a while.

The Vanguard event had already been revealed in Warzone, and now players can finally get access to the content present in the beta.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have also revealed the dates for the open beta for other platforms, and they are coming soon.

If you are a PS4 or a PS5 player and have pre-ordered the game, you will get early access to Vanguard Beta on September 10 - 13. Else, you can get your hands on the Beta from September 16 to 20.

If you have pre-ordered Call of Duty: Vanguard on PC or Xbox, you will get access to the open Beta from September 16 - 17. Else, you will get access to it from September 18 - 20.

How You Can Download the Open Beta

Just like the Cold War beta that launched last year, you will be able to download the beta from your respective platform's store once it releases. The size of Vanguard open beta is still unknown, but since it is dropping in next-gen consoles, some reports suggest that the size of the Xbox version may be around 50 GB.

Content and Maps

We have some detailed information about the content and maps that are going to be available on Call of Duty: Vanguard Open Beta. Here's a quick look.

The maps that we are going to get are:

  • 4 Champion Hill maps

  • Hotel Royal

  • Gavutu

  • Red Star

  • Eagle's Nest (Will be available on the second weekend)

We also have more information about level caps and the different modes we will get in the open beta.

PlayStation users will get two bonus custom loadout slots as exclusive content. In Champion Hill, there will be ten upgrades per weapon, and each upgrade will add one attachment.

You will get three rotating weapons sets featuring two weapons from each category (AR, SMG, Pistol, etc.).

In core MP modes, weapon levels are capped at 30. The caps of player levels are yet to be declared.

We also have received information about the zombies maps, and they will be developed by Treyarch Studios. This co-op mode will integrate with the Dark Aether story to create engaging lore.

Grand Theft Auto - What Can We Expect

It has been more than eight years since Grand Theft Auto V was released, and people can't wait for the next installment of this franchise. Recently, a man even crashed into a live TV show to ask about Grand Theft Auto 6.

So, is GTA 6 coming? Unfortunately, not anytime soon. As per reports and guesses, it will come sometime around 2024-25.

Tom Henderson, who is well known for providing leaks of games like Battlefield and Warzone, says that the delay may be probably because of the shortages of next-generation consoles and they want to release the game in a market where majority of the players will have their hands on the latest consoles.

Rockstar is known for creating massive open worlds with attention to detail that will leave everyone in awe, like Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA V. And, they have always taken their time releasing these masterpieces. So, there are chances that Rockstar Games does not want to announce the release date until they are 100% sure that they will meet the deadline and they don't want to rush the development.

Plus, the employees' well-being is also a concern as overtime and crunches can bring a lot of strain on them. We saw similar stressful periods when GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 were being developed.

As for maps, some easter eggs say that the maps will be set around Miami and based on Vice City.

As for now, nothing is confirmed as Rockstar hasn't come with any specific information. However, the long silence and Rockstar's excellent track record have created an environment full of suspense, which has made everything several times more interesting.

What to Do till Then?

2024-25 is going to be a long wait. So, Rockstar has announced that they will release three remastered versions of the older Grand Theft Auto titles. According to Kotaku, the games that will be remastered with modern graphics are rumored to be GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas.

These new titles will be available on all consoles and the newer platforms like Nintendo Switch. This is a great opportunity for fans of older GTA games to once again step into the shoes of characters like Tommy Vercetti and Carl 'CJ' Johnson in a world with enhanced graphics.

Some reports say that these games could be running on Unreal Engine, and the remaster graphics may look like the modded versions we have right now for the classic titles.
