Google Play Music finally reaches Canada – Here’s what you get

Google Play Music is finally available in Canada as well, bringing its slew of goodies to eager users in the country.

Google's music streaming service arrives in Canada after a long wait, as it comes three years after the company first launched Google Play Music in the U.S., and nearly one year after it expanded the service with All Access subscription options.

"Starting today, Google Play Music will be available in Canada! Google Play gives you an unlimited pass to 25 million songs on all your devices - from all the major record companies, as well as top local and independent labels," Google Canada boasted on Monday, May 5.

Now, Canadian users can finally store up to 20,000 songs online and easily access them whenever the feel like it, using their phones, tablets, or the web. The app is available for both Android and iOS users, and it also adds the ability to create ad-free and interactive radio stations for various artists.

"Google Play lets you create an ad-free, interactive radio station from any song or artist you love. You can add, remove or re-order your station and see what's coming next. Or you can browse recommendations from our expert music team and explore songs by genre. The 'Listen Now' tab puts artists and radio stations we think you'll love front and center so you can start listening the minute you open your library."

Google Play Music arrives in Canada complete with a music catalog comprising of roughly 25 million tracks, bringing all of the goodies that U.S. users have been enjoying for quite some time. Canadian users will be able to store up to 20,000 songs online, or get the All Access streaming service for added benefits, albeit at a cost.

As a limited-time promotional offer, any Canadian customer who signs up for Google Play Music All Access before June 30 will receive a special price of $7.99 per month, allowing for $2 in savings compared to the regular $9.99 monthly price that will go into effect afterwards. Google is also offering a 30-day free trial so you can check it out before deciding to subscribe.
