Tom Clancy's The Division is an online multiplayer third person shooter set in an open world environment. It was launched on March 8, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Initially, the game was greeted enthusiastically by a lot of gamers. However, many have since left The Division due to various gameplay and technical problems.

Tom Clancy's The Division 1.4 Patch and Upcoming Changes

Ubisoft is set to release a 1.4 patch on October. This upcoming update is described as an effort to entice former players back to the game. The developers promised that The Division will regain its "shooter feeling."

The October update will include additional decision-making on the part of the player, according to eurogamer. Additional choices with regards to building the player's character in the game will also be included in the patch. The upcoming changes are designed to bridge the gap between optimized and non-optimized character builds.

The upcoming patch will also reset the gear set scores in the game. Many players could not join a group because their gear score is not enough for them to qualify. Ubisoft assures that this will change. The developers stressed that gear sets were supposed to use for "fun and specialized gameplay styles". Game statistics and items are being adjusted for a more balanced gameplay.

Ubisoft has every good reason to make the players happy. Tom Clancy's The Division is currently its highest grossing game for 2016. Aside from the 1.4 update, Ubisoft is set to add two more expansions to the game namely, Survival and Last Stand. However, the game developers have yet to set a specific release date.
