Pokémon Sun & Moon Guide: How To Select Your Pokémon Starter

Just three days before Pokémon Sun and Moon hits Nintendo 3DS, there are a lot of things that you need to prepare as a trainer and it's about time that you'll know about the starter models and which ones to use. There is no specific starter Pokémon that will ensure your advantage. However, this will help you take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of the starters, including Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Decidueye

Decidueye is a Grass/Ghost type Pokémon under the Arrow Quill category. Its primary ability is to overgrow. Decidueye has the ability to move about while entirely masking its presence from others. Once the enemy loses sight of it, the Pokémon takes the opportunity to score an attack using its arrow quill from within its wing. It is amazingly speedy, but has loopholes in terms of accuracy. Decidueye's Spirit Shackle is uniquely available for it. This move bars enemies from escaping and calling out for help once hit.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Incineroar

Incineroar is a Fire/Dark type Pokémon under the Heel category. Its primary ability is to let out a blaze. Once its fighting spirit boosts, Incineroar blazes flames from its navel and waistline. This Pokémon is known to be reckless, even attacking the enemy's Trainer. Incineroar's Darkest Lariat move allows it to be spared from any damage inflicted on him by the enemy.

Pokémon Sun And Moon - Primarina

Primarina is a Water/Fairy type Pokémon under the Soloist category. Its primary ability is torrent. Primarina uses the non-exploding balloons of water it produces using its voice to situate itself well against the opponent. Some of these balloons will explode one touched by the enemies, causing a chain of explosions. Primarina's Sparkling Aria move heals any burns.

In the meantime, movepools have already been confirmed coming very soon which comprise of 600 moves and 16 categories. However, there is no exact date yet announced by Nintendo and Game Freak as to when it will come out.

Pokémon Sun and Moon will be available beginning Friday, Nov. 18 on Nintendo 3DS.
