In a recent report this week, Toshiba has introduced the availability of the Portégé X30. The company says its new Portégé X30 notebook will do the job with an advertised battery life of up to 18 hours. This is the latest version of Toshiba's popular ultraportable laptop family designed for business users for its performance, security, and sturdiness.

The new Portégé X30 comes with a 13.3-inch screen, measuring 15.9mm thick and weighs 1.04Kg. Featuring Full HD touch display at a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution and runs Windows 10 Pro, the notebook is available in three standard configurations also with built-to-order options. Despite its svelte physical form, it also packs potent computing power with an Intel Core i7 (Kaby Lake), coupled with 16GB of RAM, along with PCIe SSD up to 512GB in capacity.

The Toshiba Portégé X30 is also loaded with enterprise features, both in software and in hardware.  It comes with face and fingerprint recognition, smart card reader, hard drive encryption, and such. The notebook is also tough on the outside sporting a magnesium alloy "Tough Body" and MIL STD 810G rating compared to other laptops, Toshiba didn't withhold on the ports either, with two USB-C, one USB 3.0, and HDMI ports. In particular, it has USB-C support Power Delivery, Display, and even Thunderbolt 3.

As for the security features, the laptop is geared up with SecurePad with Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensor, a webcam with IR sensors for the facial recognition and with Trusted Platform Module. Interestingly, Toshiba Portégé X30 comes with a backlit, spill-resistant keyboard with a TrackPoint nub. More so, the system has a stereo sub-system which features speakers co-designed with Harman Kardon which carries a DTS label. Toshiba's Portégé X30 laptops are available directly from the company in the U.S. and the price ranges from $1450, $1600 or $1900 which depends on configurations.
