Nintendo is coming out with the first DLC expansion of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This expansion is called The Master Trials and comes with a new gameplay mode called Master Mode. It will use a separate set of save data slots.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC expansion will also feature a horde mode-style challenge, several new armors, costumes and new tools for exploring Hyrule. Nintendo claims that even veteran players of the game will be challenged with this new Master Trials Hard Mode.
Nintendo also states that the save slots for the Master Mode in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC expansion will be different from the other challenges. In addition, the developer also revealed that gamers can only use two save data slots instead of the usual six save data slots provided by the Normal Mode.
The enemies roaming Hyrule's environment have also been leveled up in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC expansion. According to Nintendo, the change works like the Blood Moons mechanics. In this system, blue enemies turn to black, red enemies turn to blue, and so forth. Along with these changes, a new tier of enemies called Gold will be introduced. The health of these enemies will also regenerate making it more challenging for gamers to defeat them.
Aside from the new Hard Mode of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC expansion, there will be two other modes that will be added. These are the Heroes Path Mode and the Trial of the Sword. In the first additional mode, gamers will be able to track their steps as they make their way across Hyrule. This will give them a good feedback on where they have been and where they have not been into.
In the Trial of the Sword, gamers must defeat their enemies without using any weapon and armor. If they are successful, they will be rewarded with the Master Sword, a powerful weapon that glows in its heightened state. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC expansion will be released on June 30.
